Description
This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors to Remove and Install New Fire Suppression System at Bldg. 751, Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily, Italy by means of a firm fixed price construction contract. The requirements will be procured utilizing simplified acquisition procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210. The estimated price range is between ‚¬18,030.00 and ‚¬72,120.00 Euros. The anticipated requirement includes but not limited to labor, material, equipment, to remove existing fire suppression system and install new carbon dioxide fire suppression system meeting NFPA 12 requirements. System shall be carbon dioxide, shall detect carbon monoxide and smoke in the facility, shall detect fire in any area of the facility and suppress it automatically, shall have manual stations exterior to the facility, shall have audible and visual notification appliances internal and exterior to the facility, shall have emergency power source, shall be able to cut off fuel supply to the emergency generator system from the exterior of the facility, shall detect occupancy, shall be able to transmit system status to the Fire Department and shall have a manually activated smoke exhaust system. The anticipated period of performance is 90 calendar days. Offers can view and/or download the solicitation via the European Navy Electronic Commerce Online (EURONECO) website at https://euro.neco.navy.mil when it becomes available. All interested offerors shall register at this website. However, registration does not release offerors from the responsibility of checking the solicitation daily for any amendments or other notices. The solicitation is expected to be posted on 4 May 2011. Quotes are expected to be due on 3 June 2011 at 4:00PM Central European Time (CET). All dates and information are tentative and are subject to change. This is an internet only solicitation so paper copies will not be provided. A pre bid conference and site visit will be indicated on the solicitation.
