- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement for VEMCO coded acoustic receivers. These receivers are the only acoustic receivers that will ensure compatibility with the acoustic tags already being used on a multi-agency study. The government intends to award this order to VEMCO non-competitively due to VEMCO being the only company that manufactures these compatible acoustic receivers. Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish this receiver shall submit a capabilities statement to the Contract Specialist no later than April 21, 2011 at 4:00PM EST. Any such statement of capabilities and qualifications received by the deadline will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
