Description
The U.S. Marshals Service/Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System Division intends to negotiate and award a sole source award under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to Flight Safety International, Marine Air Terminal, LaGuardia Airport, Flushing, NY 11371-1061, for Saab 2000 Initial Pilot Training. The requirement consists of providing the following course curriculum: Saab 2000 Check Ride and Initial Briefing, Ground School, System integration Training, Simulator (per Crew), Courseware and Flight Training. The course consists of a total of 20 days, divided into two training sessions (check ride/initial). This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. Proposed contract action is for services which the Government intends to solicit only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to the requirement by providing written notification to the point of contact (POC) no later than 2:00 p.m. CST, 28 April 2011. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed above. Additionally, any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The intent of this notice is for informational purposes only. No reimbursement for any costs connected with providing capability information will be provided. Responses must be submitted via e-mail to Victor J. Stamps at Victor.J.Stamps@usdoj.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be honored.
