Description

The James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mountain Home, TN has a requirement for a contractor to provide Design-Build services replace six electric traction elevators, which were originally commissioned in 1986, in order to correct FCA deficiencies in Building 200. Work includes but is not limited to replacement of controls, motors, pulleys, cars, doors and cables for traction elevators P-1,P-2, S-3, S-4, S-5, and S-6 as well as all associated system components and equipment. Calibration, operational safety checks, certification and staff training will also be provided. The design-build contractor shall provide all technical design services, supervision, labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for a complete engineering and construction project to: "Replace six electric traction elevators in building 200 "Replace all associated controls, motors, pulleys, cars, doors and cables "Perform calibration and operation checks "Provide training to VA Maintenance Staff Work includes preliminary and final contract drawings, specifications, and construction management services. NAICS code 238990 is applicable to this requirement. The small business size standard is $14M. This project will be set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns pursuant to 38 U.S.C. 8127(d). The construction cost range is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Solicitation will be available for download on or before June 16, 2011 via www.fbo.gov.
