- The Conservation Land Management Branch (CLM), Division of Training, National Conservation Training Center (NCTC), of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) in Shepherdstown, WV is seeking an experienced subject matter expert(s) for instruction for the course entitled Law for Non-Lawyers (WLD2134). The date for this class is July 25, 2011. The audience for this course is broadly defined as 'personnel working with issues that require knowledge of laws, regulations and policies'.The Law for Non-Lawyers course uses discussion and examples to help those with little or no knowledge of the law. The differences between laws, statutes, and regulations are described. Definitions of executive orders, the Federal Register, the Code of Federal Regulations, and the U.S. Code are also provided. Basic concepts are explained, case law is examined, and participants learn how to read and understand laws and regulations. Using the Internet, course participants also access legal resources to find laws, regulations, and current court cases. The solicitation F11PS00578 issued concurrently with this announcement identifies the office where additional information can be obtained. Quotes for solicitations F11PS00577 and F11PS00578 may be combined and may result in one award. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by this agency.
