- Description
- The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) intends to issue a Requests for Proposals (RFP) for a contractor to perform Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) operator support services in the area of radio intercept equipment operation, radio communication monitoring, Spanish to English translation, data collection and analysis, and intelligence reporting. The acquisition is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) concerns in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 19.8 "Contracting with the Small Business Administration (The 8(a) Program). The personnel security access level for this contract is Top Secret. All prospective contractors must have a current facility clearance at the Top Secret level. Services shall be performed primarily in El Paso, TX. However, temporary duty deployments to domestic and foreign locations in support of SIGINT missions may also be required. The government intends to award a labor hour contract. The estimated period of performance is September 30, 2011 - September 29, 2012 with four one-year option periods. The anticipated award date is September 1, 2011. The NAIC code is 541990, All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services. The eligibility to participate may be restricted to firms in the developmental and transitional stages. Interested 8(a) firms are encouraged to request a copy of the solicitation as expeditiously as possible, since the solicitation will be issued without further notice upon Small Business Administration (SBA) acceptance of the requirement for the section 8(a) program. All information regarding this procurement, including the solicitation document and amendments, will only be made available electronically at the "Federal Business Opportunities" website, www.fedbizopps.gov.
