- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) intends to solicit, on a sole source basis, Device Engineering Company, Inc, 606 Mayflower Avenue, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547 to procure AN/SLQ-37 Power Converter Unit (PCU) Repair Support. The AN/SLQ-37 system includes a Power Converter Unit that sends armature and field voltages through an Acoustic Power Cable to a motor in Acoustic Device TB-26. The Power Converter Unit has historically been a high failure item that is difficult to repair. As Device Engineering is the author of the overhaul procedures for the PCU and is the only company that has repaired the PCUs since the units have entered service, there is no other vendor that can provide the required services without significant extra, duplicated costs to the Government that cannot be recouped through competition. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Simplified Acquisition Procedures is the method of award for this procurement. The NAICS code is 811219 (Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and the FSC Code is 7030 (Calibration Services and Maintenance). The SBA Size Standard is $19.0 Million. Delivery will be to the Naval Support Activity, Panama City (Code N61008), Receiving Officer, Building 100, 110 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7018.
