- Timber Marking and Volume Estimation on the Hiawatha National Forest This solicitation will result in the issuance of Basic Ordering Agreements (BOA's) with those parties determined to be qualified to perform the services as identified in Section C. When a future project is identified, a more project-specific Request For Quote (RFQ) will be issued to all parties identified under the established Basic Ordering Agreement. The Basic Ordering Agreement will incorporate by reference into future contracts, with the same force and effect as if included in full text. Project-specific RFQ's will typically have silvicultural prescriptions attached for review. These Prescriptions incorporate a variety of ecosystem, timber, recreation, aesthetics, or wildlife values. Some prescriptions may not follow standard silvicultural guides and may be modified to meet specific resource objectives. Location: Future project areas will be on the Hiawatha National Forest and may be located on the Munising, Rapid River/Manistique, and St. Ignace/Sault Ste. Marie Ranger Districts. These Districts are located in the Michigan Counties of: Alger, Delta, Schoolcraft, Chippewa, and Mackinac.
