- Description
- The work for this project consists of removal of a pipe water control structure, and the construction of a rock water control structure in it's place; construction of a rock riprap grade structure, and seeding of all disturbed areas. Major items of work includes an approximated: 100 tons of rock riprap for excavation; 75 sq yds of geotextile for cover of rock fill; 4 sections of geocell to cover water control structure; 25 tons of rock fill; and 0.5 acres of seeding for permanent cover. The estimated price is within the range of $25,000 to $100,000. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990. The solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from website, www.fedbizopps.gov, on or about May 5, 2011. Interested parties are invited to attend a pre-bid meeting and site showing on Thursday, May 12, 2011, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Meet at the community center near the site. Take Highway 21, North (Low Country Hwy.) out of Smoaks, South Carolina. Travel approximately 2 to 2.5 miles. Community Avenue (SC-15-63) will be on your right. Cherokee Lane will be on your left. Turn right at Community Avenue and travel until you come to Strawberry Farm Road. At the stop sign, the community center will be on your right.
