- The William Jennings Bryan Dorn VAMC located at 6439 Garners Ferry Road Columbia, South Carolina, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) numbered VA247-11-RP-0196 for project # 544-11-600 entitled "Design Build B100 Install SPD Sterilizers" on or about the week of May 30, 2011. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is motified, the full solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizopps www.fbo.gov. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Applicable NAICS: 236220 Size Standard: $33.5M. Project magnitude range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Period of Performance: 177 calendar days after notice to proceed. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in CCR, CVE certified and in the VetBiz databases prior to award. Firms may obtain CCR information at http://www.ccr.gov and VetBiz information at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. A bidders mailing list will not be maintained, interested bidders should register in interested vendors section of this notice. Do not contact the Contracting Officer for General Contractor information or potential bidders. There will be a pre-bid site investigation held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid site investigation will be located in the solicitation package. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming RFP solicitation to satisfy the requirments of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. The Contracting Officer will not be able to answer any questions pertaining to this notice until a RFP is issued. Questions resulting from the solicitation and pre-bid investigation will only be answered if received by Request for Information (RFI). It is the responsibility of the bidder to monitor and download amendments from fedbizopps which may be issued to this solicitation. The design build shall utilize the VA Master Specifications and Design Manuals/Guides found at www.cfm.va.gov/til/spec.asp. Other codes and standards are current editions of NFPA, OSHA, NSF and IBC. The scope of work for this project is to provide design build turnkey installation and site prep for removal of existing sterilizers and install new sterilizers as required by the specifications.
