- QMAE-BD-110006-N - National Safety Symposium Request for Quote document. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number QMAE-BD-110006-N is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). QMAE-BD-110006-N and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-50 April 15, 2011. This solicitation is considered an unrestricted procurement. The General Services Administration's Office of Motor Vehicle Management is seeking competition for providing meeting space and food/beverage service for the 2011 National Safety Symposium. GSA Fleet anticipates a single award to be issued for the meeting space and food/beverage service. The Contractor shall provide all labor, resources, equipment, management and oversight to provide this service. Growing from its origins in 1954 to over 217,000 vehicles in 2010, the General Services Administration Fleet (GSA Feet) is one of the largest non-tactical federal fleets in the United States Government. It includes automobiles, passenger vans, light, medium, and heavy trucks, buses and ambulances. GSA Fleet's responsibilities have increased due to rapid fleet growth, and the safety program has been developed to show customer agencies the value and importance of implementing safety programs and continuously striving to become more responsible drivers. In keeping with this trend GSA Fleet is holding a safety symposium. The National Safety Symposium is a one (1) day event from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The period of performance will be from 6:00 p.m. the day prior to the event to two (2) hours after the conclusion of the event. The exact date of the National Safety Symposium is to be determined. The Contractor shall provide a list of available dates Monday - Thursday between the dates of August 1 and September 16, 2011.
