- Justification and Approval The Western Regional Contracting Office, 9902 Lincoln Street, Tacoma, Washington, 98431, has awarded a sole source contract to Immunodiagnostic Systems Inc. for Vitamin D Reagents, under NAICS code 424210. This requirement is for the Department of Pathology, Madigan Healthcare System, JBLM, Tacoma, WA, 98431. The delivery date is 1 May 2011. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the government has solicited and negotiated with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 13.501(a), Sole Source (Including Brand Name) acquisitions. The requested reagents are as follows: (1) 100 Kits, CAT# AC-57F1. Immunodiagnostic Systems Inc. is the only manufacturer and distributor of Vitamin D Enzyme Immunoassay reagents compatible with the open system Evolis analyzer used in the testing process. This Notice is not a Request for Quotes. No solicitation will be issued as a result of this notice. Additionally, no award will be made on the basis of quotes or offers received in response to this notice. Immunodiagnostic Systems Inc. is the only company that can satisfy the Government's requirement. Madigan Healthcare System has completed extensive market research for this system and have found that Immunodiagnostics System Inc. is the only authorized manufacturer and distributor compatible with the government-owned Evolis analyzer for testing of Vitamin D with enzyme immunoassay reagents. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to meet this requirement by 1000 PST, 29 April 2011. Additionally, any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this notice is for informational purposes only. No reimbursement for any costs connected with providing capability information will be provided. Responses will be considered for future requirements.
