- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), Grand Coulee Power Office (GCPO), Grand Coulee, Washington, intends to award a non-competitive contract to the Coulee Medical Center, Grand Coulee, Washington for medical services for GCPO employees. The services include: emergency treatment of on-the-job injuries for a maximum of two visits per occurrence; referrals to physicians; emergency treatment available 24 hours a day, seven days a week; a health care unit available from 9:30 am to 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday; immunizations for common diseases such as influenza and tetanus at no cost to GCPO employees; some physician ordered services such as allergy shots, vitamins, etc. The facility must be located within 15 minutes travel time from GCPO. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the services that satisfy agency requirements. As such, the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The services provided under this program must be available within a reasonable commuting distance (approximately 15 minutes travel time, one way); offered on a 24 hours per day, seven days per week basis; offered through a facility staffed with the needed medical expertise to properly administer services under the program. The intended period of performance is for one year beginning May 1, 2011, through April 30, 2012. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 622110 and the size standard is $34.5 million in gross annual receipts averaged over the previous three one-year accounting periods. Firms believing that they can provide the required services are encouraged to send written notification to the Contracting Officer (see below). The notification must include conclusive supporting evidence in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated critical requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses received from the date of publication of this synopsis and prior to the intended award will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses must include the firm's Dun and Bradstreet number (DUNS) and Tax Identification Number (TIN). Firms must identify themselves as either small business or other than small business in accordance with the size standard for the above NAICS code.. Robert Milette. Pacific Northwest Region.
