- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of Culinary Arts VT Instructor Services for the Federal Correctional Institution, located in Miami, Florida. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contractor shall provide Culinary Arts VT Instructor services for the inmate population in a correctional setting for the Education Department at FCI Miami. The contract period will consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, and four one-year option periods for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the government. The estimated quantities for the base year and each option year are 1200 sessions per year. A session is defined as one hour. The contractor will conduct services an average of 20 to 25 session per week. The schedule shall not exceed 30 hours per week. The Contractor will normally work three sessions per day Monday through Friday (except federal holidays), between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The contractor shall provide culinary arts instruction services in accordance with specific orders provided by the Education Department Head. The Contractor shall be a junior or community college. All other qualification and requirements will be detailed in the solicitation. The Contractor is required to be experienced with the delivery of culinary arts instruction services and be able to meet the requirements of this solicitation. The solicitation will be made available on or about April 15, 2011, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 611519, with a small business size standard of $7.0 million. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about May 16, 2011; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered.
