- Solicitation # N00039-11-R-0073 will fulfill ESRP requirements initiallyidentifiedin sources sought # SPAWAR_Headquarters_MKTSVY_8D462(https://www.fbo.gov/index?s=opportunity&mode=form&id=576adf842de73af9008f3c880452b4dd&tab=core&_cview=0)*********************************************************The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR HQ), in support ofthe Program Executive Officer for Command, Control, Communications,Computers, and Intelligence (PEO C4I), Communication Program Office(PMW/A 170) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide highlyspecialized engineering services to meet the Environmental Satellite ReceiverProcessor (ESRP) Program requirements. These services will provide for theanalysis, implementation, upgrade, and repair of the hardware and software forthe Navy's meteorological and oceanographic satellite receiver processorsystems (AN/SMQ-11 and AN/FMQ-17). The AN/SMQ-11 is located primarilyafloat and at select shore sites and the AN/FMQ-17 is a shore variant. Themission of ESRP is to provide real time direct readout of Environmental Data tothe Meteorology and Oceanography personnel to support mission planning andexecution in all warfare areas. The contemplated contract is for five yearsandis anticipated to be a cost-reimbursable contract type for the specializedengineering services and firm-fixed price for hardware. The NAICS Code forthis procurement is 334220. The estimated date of solicitation release is May10, 2011 and will be issued without further notice. The solicitation and anyfurther instructions will be made available on the SPAWAR e-commerce centralwebsite.
