Description

CORRECTION OF PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR REMOVAL OF PAVING, GENERAL CONSTRUCTION, AND THE MANUFACTURE, DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF PRE-CAST CRYPTS AT FORT CUSTER NATIONAL CEMTERY LOCATED IN AUGUSTA, MICHICAN WITHIN KALAMAZOO COUNTY. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting bids under Solicitation Number VA-786A-11-IB-0025 for the following: A summary of the work to be performed is as follows, the contractor shall provide all professional services, labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to remove existing structures & pavement; manufacture, deliver and install 3,101 double-depth pre-cast crypts. The liquidated damages clause is associated with this solicitation. COST MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this project is between $2,000,000 and $500,000,000. CONTRACT DURATION: Performance period is 365 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice To Proceed. NAICS CODE: 237990 METHOD OF AWARD: THE GOVERNMENT CONTEMPLATES AWARD OF A FIRM FIXED-RICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT UNDER SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 14 to a responsible service disabled veteran owned small business responding to this solicitation. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIALS: Solicitation material consisting of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) details and specifications may be accessed ONLY via FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No telephone requests will be accepted. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be released for issue on April 18, 2011. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be up loaded to FedBizOpps. Offerors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. The cut-off date for questions is May 12, 2011, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Questions must be received in writing via e-mail. The email must be entitled "Fort Custer National Cemetery - Question(s)." BIDDER'S MAILING LIST: Interested parties should register for the Bidder's Mailing List at http://www.fedbizopps.gov "Interested Vendor List". Individual copies of the Bidder's Mailing List WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: The pre-bid conference is scheduled for May 3, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. local time at the jobsite.
