- P11PS00603. This solicitation as well as any issued amendments will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about 4/30/2011. A PAPER SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Telephone, fax, or email requests for this solicitation will not be accepted. The scope of this contract includes rehabilitation work on the exteriors of 10 buildings as a base bid (Buildings A - J on Bid Schedule, Map, and Abstract) and options for up to 16 additional buildings (as identified in Bid Schedule, Map, and Abstract). Options, not exercised at time of award, may be exercised within 75 days after award and additional time for work performance will be allowed as stated in Definition of Bid Items in Solicitation. Performance period days listed are based on work being performed under one mobilization and the performance period will be the aggregate of the base bid of 45 days, up to a total of 115 days depending on the options awarded. Award will be made to lowest bidder for base bid plus all options. The work will consist of: removal and disposal of items no longer needed on the exterior of the buildings, repairs to the exterior of buildings, refinish the exterior of buildings as detailed in each building abstract. Location is at the Schoodic Education and Research Center, Winter Harbor, Maine. NAICS 238320, Painting. This solicitation is set aside for small businesses. Estimated price is between $250,000 and $500,000. All bidders are encouraged to inspect the job site on their own. All technical questions should be submitted in writing to Clay Gilley, Acadia National Park Engineer, at clayton_gilley@nps.gov by May 18, 2011. Answers not addressed in Specifications or Abstract will be addressed in an Amendment issued after May 18, 2011. Hard copy bid documents only shall be accepted for this solicitation (no faxed or electronic bid documents will be accepted). Bids must be received at Acadia National Park by 3:00 pm on June 2, 2011 in accordance with Section L of this solicitation.
