- In accordance with FAR Part 13.106(b)(1), the Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office is negotiating a fixed-price, sole source award with PerkinElmer Health Sciences for one year of comprehensive coverage. This coverage is for the OPTIMA4300DV-Axial and Radial Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrophotometer; AS93PLUS-auto-sampler that works in conjunction with the OPTIMA4300DV; and TRI-CARB 2700-liquid scintillation counter. The coverage includes 2 onsite visits to include parts, travel, labor, phone support and a 5% training discount. As PerkinElmer is the original equipment manufacturer, this maintenance agreement is exclusive to PerkinElmer as it is the only known vendor. The estimated cost for this one-year service is $16,812. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award to PerkinElmer Health Services. Responses are due by April 25, 2011, 12:00 p.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to surrusjk@id.doe. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
