Description
This notice has been cancelled and will be posted under station 307-Buffalo. This sources sought notice is issued in an effort to conduct additional market research for professional design services for home improvements and if for informational purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefit Administration, Buffalo Regional Office is soliciting qualification statements (SF-330) in response to this notice to determine the availability of all small businesses (including service disabled veteran owned, veteran owned, women owned, HUBZone, and disadvantaged and others) capable of performing the requirement indicated below. Qualification Statement will be used to select the most highly qualified A/Es for the solicitation for a potential construction contract. In your response please indicate the socioeconomic status of your small business. The NAICS code is 541310, (Architectural design services), with a size standard of $4.5 million dollars. This means that businesses furnishing the services described below, with average annual revenue over the last 3 years under $4.5 million dollars are generally considered small businesses. The requirement is provide drawings and cost estimates for the following services in Gouverneur, NY, 13642. Project will consist of remodeling a home to make it handicap accessible to include three phases as follows: A) 1.Removal of front porch and roof and installation of deck with hip roof; 2.Installation of electric service for chairlift to provide access from top floor to bottom floor of house; 3.Installation of sidewalks adjacent to house for appropriate egress/ingress. B) 1.Installation of additional hip roof necessary for handicap access; 2.Installation of additional sidewalks & footing deemed necessary for handicap access; C) 1.Converting bedroom into a bathroom with installation of Windows, enlargement of doorway, installation of wall for shower, installation of electric service, appliances (exhaust fan, heat lamps, lighting) rough plumbing for showers sank and toilet, installation of vanity and grab bars where necessary; 2.Removing carpet and living room, removing front window and installing door and living room; 3.Installation of new closet and Pergo floor and living room and hallway; 4.Conversion of existing bathroom into laundry room enlarging all wheelchair access doorways to appropriate standards; 5.Installation of appropriate lighting; 6.Installation of larger cabinet handles and kitchen; An implemented Quality Plan indicating a management commitment to ensure the highest quality. No telephone requests will be honored. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (accessed via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov) and ORCA https://orca.bpn.gov/ to do business with the federal government. These registrations are required to be maintained current and are certified annually. Veteran Owned Businesses and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses - Are required to register and be validated at http://www.vetbiz.gov to do business with the federal government. Contractors are encouraged to register at the eCMS Vendor Portal to do business with VA: https://www.vendorportal.ecms.va.gov/eVP. Contractors should be licensed and bonded. All information provided will become property of the Department of Veterans Affairs and will not be returned. Responses are requested by February 28, 2011 no-later-than 4 P.M., Eastern Time and should include a point of contact, phone number, fax number and email address.
