Description
Fed Biz Ops Announcement for BFI 2011 No. 1, April 5, 2011 BRIEFING FOR INDUSTRY 2011 The Professional Aerospace Contractors Association (PACA) of New Mexico, with the support of the Air Force Research Laboratory, will host the 25th Silver Anniversary of the BRIEFING FOR INDUSTRY August 15-17, 2011 at the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In celebration of its 25th year, this year's event will include a special Silver Anniversary Dinner Celebration on Tuesday, August 16. Harrison H. Schmitt, Ph.D., a former NASA Astronaut and U.S. Senator from New Mexico, is one of two luncheon keynote speakers. In addition, two days of comprehensive presentations by the participating military and government agencies will include descriptions of their missions, program objectives and plans, and most importantly identify contracting opportunities to the audience of current and prospective contractors. A sample of topics includes research and development; test and evaluation; technical and analytical support; operations and maintenance; systems procurement; and facilities construction. As in previous years, the organizations invited to participate represent a wide range of all directorates with the Air Force Research Laboratory; Space and Missile Systems Center/Space Development and Test Wing; Operationally Responsive Space Office; Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center; 46th Test Group; Kirtland Small Business Office; Sandia National Laboratories; Los Alamos National Laboratory; Department of Energy; White Sands Missile Range; High Energy Laser Joint Technology Office; and National Reconnaissance Office. Regularly updated event information and online registration are available on the BRIEFING FOR INDUSTRY 2011 website at http://bfi.pacanm.org. Many levels of BFI sponsorships opportunities are also available; call 505-899-4028 for more information. To accommodate increased detail in the program information from AFRL, all non-Government attendees will be required to be U.S. citizens and to supply a copy of their organization's DD2345, "Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement" prior to being confirmed for the conference. Details regarding acquiring and submitting a DD2345 are available on the BFI website.
