Description
The National Marine Fisheries, Mississippi Laboratories in Pascagoula, MS intends to acquire two (2) Sea-Bird 911Plus Conductivity, Temperature and Depth (CTDs) systems that includes deck box and water sampler and external sensors. The CTD system is used to collect vital environmental data that the National Marine Fisheries Service is mandated to collect on each research survey conducted. The Mississippi Laboratories currently owns two Sea-Bird 911 plus units and three SBE 25 units. The 911 plus system will be fully interchangeable, which is important to keep the units running at sea where spare parts are not easy to obtain. The external sensors of the SBE 25 are also interchangeable with those of the 911 plus which support additional ships and the data standard over multiple vessels. Salient Characteristics -9plus CTD-includes modular temperature and conductivity sensors with TC duct, SBE 5T submersible pump, redundant T and C input changes, 8 differential input, low pass-filtered A/D channels, water sampler modem channel, stainless steel guard cage, SEASOFT software, and complete documentation. X2 -9p-5a-Manual pump control allows user to turn pump on and off by command from Seasave software X2SBE-911 Plus (V2)-Deck Unit for 911 plus CTD- (Version 2) includes IEEE-4888 and RS-242 interfaces, water sampler modem channel. NMEA 0183 GPS interface, A/D input channel for Surface PAR reference sensor, ASCII serial data output port, CTD pressure signal output, audible bottom contact alarm, audio tape interface, 115/230 VAC (switchable) input power, AC power cord, 10 m CTD test cable, NMEA test cable, remote output X2 -9p-6a- SBE 43 Dissolved Oxygen Sensor (Profiling configuration, 7000m (Standard connectors). Cable and mount included X4 -24190-WetStar Fluorometer- WET Labs WetStar, Chlorphyll fluorometer for pumped applications, 75 ug/l range, 600m X2 -WSInt-2a-WesStar @ CTD Integration for CTD with Standard Connectors, include cabling and mounting X2 -24351 - WET Labs C-Star Transmissometer, 25 cm path, cs-25-650-p (red), Wet-pluggable, 600 m X2 -CSInt-2a - Cstar & CTD Integration for CTD with Standard Connectors, includes cabling and mounting X2 -9p-3a Secondary T-C Kit-Secondary T-C sensors, 6800m, with TC Duct and Pump X2 The government knows of no other company able to supply this type of instrument besides Sea-Bird. Only the Seabird CTD will meet planned scientific data collection goals. Firms who believe they have a product that will meet all the requirements specified herein, including form fit, and function, and delivery must furnish detailed information concerning their capability to provide the supply and satisfy the Government's needs. Along with descriptive literature on the equipment being offered must be provided. In addition shall include name, telephone number and address of concerns for which you have furnished this type of equipment previously. Interested parties must respond within (10) days after publication of this notice. If no affirmative responses are received, the government intends to issue a purchase order to Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc. through the commercial acquisition process. The Eastern Region Administrative Division (ERAD), requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
