Description
Synopsis: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport intends to issue a solicitation to refurbish AN/APG-65/73 Radar Torque Motor magnetic ring assemblies. Refurbishment consists of removing the old magnets, refinishing the bare rings, and repopulating the rings with new with Samarium Cobalt 2-17 (Sm2Co17) magnets. NUWC Keyport will provide defective magnetic rings to the contractor for refurbishment as Government furnished equipment. First article requirements may be waived for previously proven sources. The magnetic ring assemblies shall be provided in accordance with the specifications set forth in the solicitation. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business with NAICS Code 336413 and a size standard of 1,000 employees. The Government anticipates award for a firm fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity type contract for a base year plus four (4) option years. The award will be based on best value determined by the tradeoff of price and other factors as set forth in the solicitation. The Government has the right to conduct pre-award surveys prior to issuance of an award. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued by 22 Apr 2011 with the Request for Proposal (RFP) posted to the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) Website: http://www.neco.navy.mil/synopsis/synopsis.cfm and to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website: https://www.fbo.gov/. Offerors wishing to submit a proposal are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFP from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFP. No telephone or fax requests for the RFP will be accepted. Offerors must have a current registration in the DoD Central Contractor Registration database (http://www.ccr.gov). Offerors are also advised that representations and certifications must be completed electronically via the ORCA website at http://orca.bpn.gov. NOTE: Drawings for this solicitation are restricted by the Arms Export Control Act and will ONLY be available to offeror ™s appointed data custodian that are registered with Defense Logistics Information Services (DLIS) Joint Certification Program (JCP). Offeror ™s that are not registered with DLIS JCP can obtain registration information at www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp/.
