- Questions and Answers for Solicitation VA-241-11-RQ-0431 1.Question: The Solicitation, in block 20, requests one custom pack sample. Then on page 5 it requests one "sterile" sample. Will this sample pack be actually used in a surgery? If not, will non-sterile suffice as sterilizing will take much longer and more expense as they will have to run several of the same. Answer: This sample pack is solely a sample pack and will not be utilized for surgery. In the essence of time, a non-sterilized pack will be accepted for review. Please advise in the RFQ response how long it would take to build up inventory of sterilized packs for the VA Medical Centers. 2.Question: Are substitutions allowed for components or must they be exact? Answer: Refer to the statement of work for exact answer. 3.Question: The response date is still set as March 18, 2011. What is correct response date? Answer: The response date is April 15, 2011 at 1300EST, as stated on the solicitation in Block 4.Question: Do these packs have to be inventoried in VHA VISN 1 geography? Answer: No, they need to be inventoried within the United States of America. 5.Question: Can they be shipped as required by FEDEX or UPS as ordered from outside VISN 1? Answer: The shipment is determined by the offeror, all final pricing needs to be FOB Destination, so the shipping costs are included with the line pricing. 6.Question: What is required delivery after receipt of order from facility? Answer: This is determined by the vendor.
