- ****This acquisition has been CANCELLED in its entirety. Thank you for your interest.**** This is a notice of intent that WR-ALC anticipates issuing a contract for the requirement to reverse engineer and develop a build-to-print data package and specifications for the existing C-5 Escape Slide System. The Escape Slide System includes the Crew Escape Slide located on the flight deck and four Troop Escape Slides located in the upper deck Troop carrier compartment. The proposed contract is for firm-fixed price development of a complete Technical Data Package (TDP) necessary to procure spare parts for the entire system including, but not limited to: inflation bottles, inflatable slides, tie down straps, inflation valves, hoses, cables, clamps and in general all parts necessary for the operation of the slide. This is expected to be a 2-year Services contract with a Basic Year and a One-Year Option. Also, this requirement requires 2 Ship-Sets prototypes. The expected Delivery Schedule includes three phases: Phase I: Preliminary Design to be completed within 6 months ARO, Phase II: Critical Design to be completed within 12 months ARO, Phase III: Prototype Production and Testing to be completed within 18 months ARO. Solicitation number will be FA8524-11-R-30380 with a response date of on or around May 4 th 2011.
