- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to award a sole source purchase order to serve as a co-sponsor to the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA). FHWA plans to co-sponsor two (2) national conferences. The first conference will approximately be held on May 25-26, 2011 and will focus on main aspects of producing asphalt pavements that are long lasting while being environmentally sustainable. The second national conference will be held on October 11-13, 2011. This conference will focus on maximizing the delivery of innovative asphalt pavement technologies. The proposed action is for services/items which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a response identifying their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the total estimated value is not to exceed $75,000; the anticipated award date is April 15, 2011.
