- Synopsis: SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. This request is an announcement for information/market research for planning purposes. The synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, invitation for bid nor does its issuance in any way restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC)/PKOA Contracting Squadron, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico, is seeking potential Small Business sources to provide laundry and dry cleaning services. Scope: The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, personnel, equipment, tools, supplies, transportation, materials, and other items necessary to ensure that laundry and dry cleaning services are performed for Kirtland, Air Force Base which include: Kirtland Inn Lodging, Gibson Child Development Center (CDC), Maxwell CDC and the 377th Medical Group (MDG). Laundry service requirements include washing, drying, folding, pressing, pick-up and delivery, correct quantities are delivered, laundry delivered free of all visible dirt, debris, dampness, offensive odors, mildew, cleansing chemicals residue, has a uniform appearance, and items are properly finished and packaged. Qualifications: Please provide a list of past performance experience, licenses or certifications you feel may support your capabilities package. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ). This requirement is set-aside for small business concerns only. Firms responding to this announcement should include company name, cage code, point of contact and address. For consideration as an small business concern, the following applies: NAICS Code 812320 (Dry Cleaning and Laundry Services (except coin-operated)), Size Standard $5 Million. Companies shall provide a capabilities statement no longer than 5 pages in length. The Government reserves the right to set-aside any subsequent acquisition based upon known sources and/or responses to this synopsis. It is anticipated a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded in October 2011. The period of performance contains a one year basic period with four one year option periods. The Government intends to issue a single solicitation and a single award. All interested offers are due no later than Tuesday, 12 April 2011, at 12:00 PM MST (Mountain Standard Time).
