- Procurement of AB-1368/F Radar Tower, Mfr: Swager Communications or equal to facilitate Radar coverage in the Lindbergh MOAs located to the south west of St Louis. The tower is required for home station use and should be for use as a permanent structure, to enable the radar signal to clear buildings (60 ft) and other obstacles located around Jefferson Barracks ANGS, St Louis MO and to allow other associated equipment to be mounted. 1.Standard AB 1368/F Radar tower with overhang herein referenced to as the tower. The tower shall be composed of one 17 ft section and six (6) 10ft sections for an overall height of 77 ft. Tower meets TIA-222-F based on 150 mph wind and 100 mph wind with " radial ice. a.Tower is self-contained and free standing requiring only an adequate foundation for its support. No guy wires are required. 2.A radar mount/pallet interface located on the main floor level for the installation of an AN/TPS 75 radar, 7,400 lbs, is required. All necessary hardware, stairway(s)/handrails, and installation drawings should be included. 3.Erection and assembly drawings should identify the location and orientation of all equipment, assemblies and parts required for tower assembly and erection. 4.Necessary commodities include stair lighting kit, convenience outlets, Davit hoist, foundation design based on soil report, supply grounding counterpoise system, standard red lighting kit, foundation bolt kit, foundation template, and grounding kit should be accounted for as optional. 5.Items requested must be 100% compatible with AN/TPS-75 Radar antenna. Without specific height and interface requirements the radar system and antennas will not operate at an acceptable level.
