- The purpose of the following amendment is to provide a response to a question posed by a potential offeror: Question: Is NIST looking for an existing software package (also to be hosted), or are they open to a custom package developed specifically for these requirements? Response: Please note, as specified above, this is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6. As long as the custom package is a commercial item and meets all of the requirements specified, it will be considered and evaluated using the factors listed in the solicitation.
