- Description
- Attached is the word doc version of the sources sight description. This is a Sources Sought for the maintenance, repair, and construction of the basewide energy conservation initiatives on Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas. This is not a solicitation, nor does it guarantee a solicitation will be issued. This is a request to determine whether or not any businesses are capable of performing the task involved under a construction project. Work includes: The replacement of one chiller, replacement of 14,000 32W T8 lamps with 28W T8 lamps, replace 530 light switches with occupancy sensing lighting controls, replace 2,250 existing incandescent bulbs with CFLs (Compact Fluorscent Lamps), replace 90 existing incandescent flood lights with CFLs (Compact Fluorscent Lamps), Replace 44 T12 lighting fixtures with 28W T8 lamps and electronic ballasts, replace 7 existing split air conditioning systems and condensors broken down as follows: four 5 ton units, two 7.5 units, and one 4 ton unit. Install two DDC Controllers and utilize preexisting scheduling functionality per controller, conduct a light survey to verify the quantity of lights needed to be replaced, add 9,400 ft of insulation to base high bay facility, and insulate three hot water storage tanks and supply lines, OPTIONAL LINE ITEM: replacement of a total of five biolers. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work, plant, supervision, management, quality control, labor, tools, equipment, appliances and material and performance in strict accordance with the specifications, drawings, and subject terms and conditions of the contract. Qualified businesses should submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than close of business (2:00 PM CST) on 15 April 2011. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. Sources shall include in their information, a detailed capabilities statement, stating their experience within the past three years of same or similar work described in this notice, a point of contact with phone and e-mail information, business status, business size based under NAICS 236220, and a positive statement of interest to submit a proposal. Submission of any information in response to this sources sought notice is completely voluntary, and shall not constitute a fee to the Government.
