- This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements (FAR 6.302-1). See posted J&A for further information. NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD) intends to issue a sole source requirements contract with one (1) base year plus two (2) option years to Disc-O Bed, L.P. for the acquisition of fabric, folding Disc-O-Chairs, PN: 19829M, Quantity: 4,096 ea./year est. The Statutory Authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition for this action is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1, when there is a supply or service available only from one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the agency's needs. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole source basis, solicitation number W911N2-11-R-0029, with Disc-O-Bed, L.P., 2150 N. Mont Parkway, Suite A, Duluth, GA 30096-5835. The solicitation will be released O/A 16 February 2011 and close O/A 8 March 2011. The annotated closing date for the solicitation is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the release of the solicitation. The solicitation will not close prior to the annotated closing date. This synopsis shall not bind the Government and is for information purposes only. CBDNet Numbered Note 22 applies.
