- Description
- The following are changes to the Pre-solicitation Notice posted on 9/30/10: 1. Delete the paragraph that reads, "For scrap recycling and disposing, the contractor will be required to provide and maintain containers at the site. After the Government fills the containers with segregated, scrap material, the contractor will be called upon to remove the full containers and replace them with empty ones." Insert the following paragraph: "For scrap recycling and disposing, the contractor will be responsible for performing all services necessary in connection with management of scrap collection sites, transportation, removal, recycling and disposal of scrap material, including the provision and maintenance of containers. The contractor shall physically receive scrap material from Department of Defense scrap generators in Japan, offload generating activity conveyances, segregate, sort, and place material into contractor-provided containers. Management of scrap collection site services will be ordered on a full time (Monday to Friday) basis or on a limited time (Tuesday to Thursday) basis at each of the four DLA Disposition Services sites." 2. The solicitaion is expected to be issued on or about April 29, 2011 with proposals due on or after June 10, 2011.
