Description

This is a notice of intent of the VISN 20 Contracting Activity to negotiate, only with, Ascott Transcription Services, a small business, for temporary medical transcription services for the Department of Veterans Affair's Alaska VA Healthcare System, 2925 DeBarr Road, Anchorage, AK 99508-2989. The proposed period of performance shall be from April 1, 2011 through September 30, 2011 with one (1) six (6) month option. The government believes that only one business is reasonably available that can satisfy the requirement during the competitive negotiations a longer term VISN wide contract for transcription services. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the government. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. The solicitation is available by written request only. All inquiries must be submitted by email to Jonathan Jewel, Contract Specialist jonathan.jewel@va.gov by no later than 11:59 pm March 30, 2011.
