- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. A11PS00101 herein cited will be procured under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-49. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 611310 with a small business size standard of $7.0 Million. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. Haskell Indian Nations University is seeking a contractor to serve as a mathematics grant-faculty member for five years at Haskell Indian Nations University, Lawrence KS. Position exercises responsibility for supervising and running the High Power Rocketry and Remote Sensing Laboratory; mentors students in the Wetlands observation project, and generally assists with various support services. Applicants must have at least a Master's Degree in Mathematics or other relevant degree, work experience with a tribe or other affiliated Native American business or organization and be a United States citizen. Contractor must have valid driver's license and pass a background investigation. NOTE: For a copy of the Scope of Work, please e-mail susan.sutton@bia.gov no later than 30 March 2011. Qualified contractors are requested to provide the following as part of their proposal: 1. A cost proposal for the period 11 April 2011 through 10 April 2012 and four additional option years. 2. A written narrative statement to include applicant's knowledge, skills and abilities relative to this type of work 3. Contractor's academic transcripts. 4. Contractor's experience with Indian post-secondary education, if any. 5. Letters of support from contractor's previous clients and/or contracts. In addition to the above, an original signed and dated quote, accompanied with contractor's DUNs number, and a completed copy of FAR Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, mailed to the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Eastern Region Office, Division of Acquisition, Attention: Susan Sutton, 545 Marriot DR, STE 700, Nashville TN 37214 or by email to susan.sutton@bia.gov by close of business, Central Daylight Time, April 4th, 2011.
