- DARPA-BAA-11-41 DARPA-BAA-11-41 The Shallow Water Agile Submarine Hunting (SWASH) program intends to develop ASW surveillance and cued search capability for shallow water littorals without the use of traditional acoustics or sonar. DARPA seeks the widest range of possible sensing solutions to achieve this goal. The best solutions will allow for operations to be useful across all phases of conflict. The expectation is that sensing solutions with low size, weight, power, and cost offer the greatest opportunity for flexible integration into unmanned airborne platforms. This BAA solicits proposals for studies and technology assessments to understand the span of potential solutions. A subsequent BAA may follow to support discovery and development efforts. For proposals to be considered, eligible proposers must have at least a secret facility clearance at the date of issue for this BAA, and evidence of the capability to conduct secret level research. Proposers are strongly encouraged to review the classified addendum to this BAA before considering a proposal submission. Section 4.1 and Appendix 2 to DARPA-BAA-11-41 provide the instructions to request the addendum materials.
