Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)/Agency for Toxic Substance and Disease Registry (ATSDR) intends to award a contract to the ALS Association (ALSA) on a negotiated noncompetitive basis to promote the National Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Registry to ALS patients, family members, caregivers, clinical staff, and the ALS community. This effort requires an organization with a nationwide network of ALS clinics, centers, and local chapters. Task requirements primarily include 1) development of an educational registry toolkit, 2) identification of ALS patients on a national level to increase awareness of the registry, 3) providing registry access to patients through a nationwide network of ALS clinics, centers, and local chapters, and 4) publicizing the registry to ALS patients through existing research/non-research programs. ALSA is the only organization that can perform the full scope of this requirement, primarily because of their nationwide access to ALS patients, databases, medical records, and their networked organizational affiliation with ALS clinical research communities. The North American Industry Classification Code is 541990. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, but all replies received within 15 days of publication will be considered. A determination not to compete based on responses received, and to proceed with a noncompetitive award is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
