Efforts under this BAA should focus on the development and demonstration of technology for current and future generation munitions and armament systems. This shall be accomplished via investigative efforts in the following general technology areas: (1) Advanced Materials; (2) Advanced Manufacturing Technology; (3) Modeling and Simulation of Munitions Manufacturing; (4) Advanced design methodologies for Munitions; (5) New technologies for Sustainment, Systems Health Monitoring and Supply Chain Management; and (6) Manufacture of Quality Munitions Components. Additionally, efforts that internalize manufacturing science in an Integrated Data Environment (IDE) to address any of the above areas of interest are strongly encouraged.
