- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This combined synopsis/solicitation will be posted on NECO/FBO satisfies the requirement of FAR 5.201(b)(1)(i). http://www.neco.nayy.mil) and www.fbo.gov. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302 FOR THIS PROCUREMENT ACTION. INTERESTED PARTIES MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT, SUBMIT QUOTES / PROPOSALS AND CAPABILITY STATEMENTS. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETETIVE QUOTES OR PROPOSALS. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (PHD), Port Hueneme, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis, Sole Source, the following items: 1.620VL Explosive Safety Igniter Circuit Tester, Qty: 5 EA The Government reserves the right to award on an all or nothing, or partial basis. The NAICS code is: 332999 and the size standard: 500 Employees. This combined synopsis/solicitation is a SOLE SOURCE requirement. The contract type will be a Firm, Fixed Price. This requirement is SOLE SOURCED to: Amptec Research Corporation as the only source that can provide these Explosive Safety Igniter Circuit Testers which will provide the necessary capabilities to support the Tomahawk AUR Test Set for combat shipboard Weapons Systems. They are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of these Igniter Testers and the only source that can provide the necessary configurations to support these Weapons Systems due to form, fit and function configurations required. Any firms believing that they can provide the material may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm s ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the material without causing programmatic hardship. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
