- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. The National Park Service is conducting a MARKET SURVEY to determine the interest and capability of firms capable of providing shuttle bus service for Gateway National Recreation Area, Sandy Hook, NJ. The firm shall provide total of four (4), 30-48 passenger buses, with handicap accessibility. The shuttle service will be required for a total of 107 days, from May 28, 2011 to September 25, 2011. Hours of operation shall be from 8AM - 6PM on Mondays through Fridays; 8AM - 7PM on Saturdays and Sundays in May, June, and September; 8AM - 8PM on Saturdays and Sundays in July and August. Weekend only service (Saturdays and Sundays) will be required on September 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, & 25. Buses will be required to provide service for a total of approximately 19,000 passengers over the course of the season. Buses will run from the Sandy Hook Ferry Dock to specific locations within Sandy Hook, at specific times. Exact locations and times will be provided. The National Park Service may request this service is continued for up to four (4) option years. The applicable NAICS code is 485510, Charter Bus Industry, with a small business size standard of $7 Million. Vendors interested in performing services for this project are invited to contact Lori Achkar, Contract Specialist, via email at lori_achkar@nps.gov, no later than April 4, 2011 at 2pm ET. Responses shall include the following information: (1) Company Name, DUNS number, Address, Point of Contact, Phone Number, and Email Address, (2) Business Size, and (3) a CAPABILITY STATEMENT including a summary of three recent (within the past three years) and relevant (similar projects to this requirement) projects, including references for each project. This notice is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Quote or Request for Proposal; and, it is not considered to be a commitment by the Government, no will the Government pay for information solicited. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided. The Government reserves the right to consider a Small Business, 8(a), or any other set-aside arrangement as deemed appropriate for this procurement.
