- NASA/GRC has a requirement for the annual maintenance and support on the followingexisting software licenses:1.) GRANTA MI Software - Annual 20 User Licenses Plus 1 User MI: Toolbox, MI: Metals & Composites Lab Includes MMPDS 4 Database (MIL -HDBK-5 &- 17)2.) CES AERO SELECTOR Software 1 or 2 User Annual License including the Hybrid Synthesizer3.) Two days data customizationNASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from ASM International, 9639 Kinsman Rd,. NoveltyOH 44073. This vendor acts as a reseller and partner for Granta Materials Intelligencewho developed the software and own the source code. No other vendor can provide thenecessary maintenance and support. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon March 29, 2011. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
