Description
Contracting Office Address Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute, Office of Acquisitions, 6120 Executive Boulevard, EPS Suite 600, Room 6072, Rockville, MD 20852, UNITED STATES. Description The National Cancer Institute requires the following instrument. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation: No. RFQ-NCI-110044-MW includes all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through FAR FAC 2005-49 (January 2011) simplified procedures for commercial items. The North American Industry Classification Code is 334516 and the business size standard is 500 employees. I. Requirement: The contractor shall provide the brand name MPBC Pulsed Visible Fiber Laser or equal. Contractors providing an or equal shall include manufacturer and model number; and comply with FAR Clause 52.211-6. Only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. This will be awarded as a firm fixed price type contract. The NCI Experimental Transplantation & Immunology Branch (ETIB), Flow Cytometry Core Facility provides essential optical biology services to the branch and to other investigators in the NCI and NIH. The core is committed to maintaining an up-to-date array of instrumentation for investigators. The NCI ETIB Core has spent the last ten years developing multiwavelength laser systems for flow cytometry, in an effort to enhance the analysis capabilities of this technology. A critical component of this project is a pulsed visible fiber laser. Criteria that will be used to evaluate the new instrument include:  Emission wavelength of 532nm  Peak output of 1 W  Repetition rate of 30 megahertz (MHz) or higher  Picosecond pulsing II. Delivery: Contractor(s) shall deliver the item within 12 weeks after award to: NIH/NCI Bethesda, Maryland 20892. The Contractor that receives the award will be provided with the complete mailing address and point of contact. Upon delivery, contractor must notify the NCI Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) to schedule the installation date and time. III. Installation: To be carried out by the manufacturer and shall occur within approximately one week of delivery. IV. Payment: Payment shall be made after delivery, installation, and successful operation of equipment. Payment authorization requires submission and approval of invoice to the NCI COTR and NIH Commercial Accounts. QUOTATIONS ARE DUE: April 1, 2011 at 11:00am EST.
