- Description
- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 4 - CGS, Atlanta, Georgia intends to negotiate a sole source procurement, in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1(2) and 41 USC 253 (c) (1). The intent is to solicit a single source for the Procurement of Vemco Telemetry Receiver. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intent is to sole source the requirement to Amirix Systems Inc., Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The North American Industry Classification System code is 334290, size standard 750 employees. The purpose of this procurement is to procure a telemetry receiver to collect movement data on Gulf Sturgeon in the Gulf of Mexico. It is the Government's belief that Amirix System Inc. can only meet this requirement because the unique coded transmitters that are carried by test animals are only detectable on Vemco receivers. Vemco is a division of Amirix System Inc. The Vemco telemetry receiver is a propriety system that consists of vemco transmitters and vemco receivers working together. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NEITHER A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION NOR A FORMAL SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed in writing to the e-mail address stated herein, Attn: Artela Jacobs. Inquiries to this notice must be received by 10:00 am local time on March 25, 2011. Please include your name, point of contact, address, area code, telephone number and facsimile number. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Inquiries can be e-mailed to artela_jacobs@fws.gov. As a result of evaluating responses to this letter of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the action may be competed. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement
