- This is published as a sole source announcement under the authority of Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The U.S. Department of the Army, Tobyhanna Army Depot Contracting Office intends to solicit under the Authority: Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 as amended by Section 817 of Public Law 108-375, and FAR 13.501(a) with HK Systems, 2855 South James Drive, New Berlin, WI 53151 for the installation of replacement components for the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), Mini-Load Storage/Retrieval Machines (S/RM's). There are six S/RM's and all six of them have experienced failures due to worn out parts. The parts that are failing include the: 1) S/RM's floor rail, 2) S/RM's rear drive and front wheel assemblies, 3) S/RM's power conductor rail and trolley, 4) S/RM's top guide rollers. This contract is to replace the worn out parts with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) parts and/or assemblies.HK Systems is the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the ASRS and holds the proprietary rights to the detailed source control drawings and specifications necessary to replicate the form, fit, and function of the required replacement components. Any firms believing they can provide the required replacement parts should contact the Contract Specialist identified within ten (10) days of this notice.
