- The US Army Contracting Command-Picatinny, on behalf of the Project Manager, Towed Artillery System (TAS) has a requirement to issue a solicitation for various metal machined parts to support the Lightweight 155mm Howitzer (LW155). These metal parts shall be built in accordance with the Statement of Work and Technical Data Package (TDP). The TDP will be marked Distribution D within the Solicitation. This will be a competitive Small Business Set Aside (SBSA) acquisition which is intended to be awarded as a result of a Request for Proposal (RFP). A firm fixed price contract shall be used for this acquisition. The Government intends to make only one award as a result of this RFP. The Government will select for award the proposal that is the most advantageous and represents the best value offer to the Government. The contract will consist of a base quantity of each part to be delivered in 2011 and option quantities in 2012. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available electronically at the following Internet address: http://procnet.pica.army.mil on or about fifteen (15) days from date of this announcement. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database by accessing the CCR web site at http://www.ccr.gov in order to be eligible for contract award. Proposal submission will be required thirty (30) days after the release of the RFP.
