- The John F. Kennedy Center issues this Sources Sought notice for information only to locate sources that are capable of providing the services as described herein. The Kennedy Center is currently conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced, and interested potential sources. The information requested by this Sources Sought announcement will be used to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the Kennedy Center. This Sources Sought announcement is an advance notice for information and planning purposes only. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this Sources Sought announcement. The Kennedy Center will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this Sources Sought announcement. 1.0 PROJECT IDENTIFICATION Eisenhower Theater Proscenium Regilding 2.0 PURPOSE The Eisenhower Theater proscenium gilding has deteriorated. This effort will seal and restore the proscenium. 3.0 TASKS Seal the panels to prevent further deterioration. After the panels have been re-gilded, apply two coats of a gloss sealer to match the original finish. JFKC will provide access to mechanized lifts. 4.0 SCHEDULE Schedule will be determined by dark periods in the theater but no later than September 1, 2011 All interested parties must respond in writing to hrbrown@kennedy-center.org by no later than 2:00 pm on March 24, 2011. Please provide a brief history of the company, and similar projects.
