- Please see the attached amendment #1 to solicitation W912PF-11-T-0041. The only change incorporates the option of a second period of performance that was in the body of the solicitation but left out of the cover page. Please ensure quotes are provided for both items. This is a non-personal services contract to provide translation and interpretation services. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government. Description of Services/Introduction: The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, food, and replacement interpreters, if needed and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform translation and interpretation services as defined in this Statement of Work. The Contractor shall provide fully qualified personnel that can provide oral and written translation and interpretation services. All interpreters will be proficient (read, write, and speak) in the English, French, and Bombara languages (also known as Bamanankan). The Contractor shall provide eight interpreters to support training of an ETIA in and around Gao, Mali from 01APR2011-15JUN2011. The Contractor must provide transportation for the interpreters to and from Gao at the beginning and end of the period of performance. The interpreters will arrive one day early and leave one day after the given dates. The interpreters must purchase their own food off the local economy and will be given adequate time to do so. The Contractor must provide replacement interpreters in the event that one of the initial eight interpreters gets injured, resigns, or is deemed unfit through quality assurance program. The interpreters will participate in long range mobile movements to multiple locations and must be willing to stay overnight in these undisclosed locations for no shorter than 10 days and be willing to cross a recognized international border. The interpreters will live in tents and must be fit enough to work outside during summer temperatures, ride in trucks with the ETIA, and dismount and walk with the ETIA. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract. Objectives: The basic service objective is to support translation and interpretation requirements to support the ETIA and ODA in and around Gao, Mali from 01APR11-15JUN11.
