Description
NSN 7R-1680-012653504-AH, REF NR 209-064-122-115, QTY 9 EA, DELIVERY FOBORIGIN. These items require Government Source Approval prior to award. If youare not an approved source, you must submit, together with your proposal, theinformation detailed in the NAVICP Source Approval Brochure which can beobtained on the internet at www.navicp.navy.mil/07/home073.htmOffers receivedwhich fail to provide all data required by the source approval brochure will notbe considered for award under this solicitation. Please note, if evaluation of asource approval request submitted hereunder cannot be pro cessed in time and /or approval requirements preclude the ability to obtain subject items in time tomeet Government requirements, award of this requirement may be continued basedon Fleet support needs. This part requires engineering source approval by thedesign control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existingunique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by thequalified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s).The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technicaldata that are not economically available to the Government, and the data orknowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternatesource must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures,as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualificationprocedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity havingjurisdiction over the part in the intended application. -SEE NOTES 9, 22, 26
