Description
Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. Bruker Nano Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer. Bruker Nano can integrate the system being purchased with the system currently at ECBC effectively allows us for both optimized low noise SPM and optimized high resolution SPM without compromise. Bruker Nano is the only one that offers Peak Force QNM or analogous imaging mode that unambiguously maps quantitative nanomechanical properties, including modulus and adhesion, at high resolution (<10 nanometers) at conventional imaging rates (<10 minutes per image) and over wide modulus range (at least 1 MPa to 50 GPa). The government's intended use includes, as a primary requirement, rapid, gentle, and quantitative measures of modulus and adhesion; alternate approaches to these measurements are either nonquantitative (Phase Imaging or Pulsed Force), slow (force0volume) or high force (Pulsed Force or nanoindentation). Additionally, Bruker Nano is the only one offering Peak Force Tapping technology and ScanAsyst, which significantly improve repeatability of results between multiple users and reduce time-consuming tasks associated with determination of operating parameters while using the instrument. The item numbers included in this order are as follows: ICON-SYS, MPP-22220-10, SANCASYST-AIR, DNP-10, MPP-11100-10, TESP, and MPP-22220-10.This is limited source procurement. Interested parties with questions or comments regarding this notice or the planned procurement should be emailed to gregory.faulcon@us.army.mil by close of business on 22 March 2011. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted.
