- Justification & Approval for Other than Full and Open Competition (i)This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number is F2NTMS1018AQ02; this solicitation is a Request for Quotation. (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-48. (iv) There is no small business set-aside for this acquisition. This acquisition will be a sole source other than full and open competition in accordance with FAR 6.302-1; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219. The business size standard is $19.0 Million. The following commercial items are requested in this solicitation: (v) CLIN: 0001 The Contractor shall furnish all part, materials, equipment and services, required to disassemble, inspect, repair as necessary, upgrade if required, reassemble, align and functionally test the unit, returning it to a serviceable condition at full operating capacity. Repair GE Ion Track Vapor Tracer2 unit S/N 50013. Parts and Labor to repair GE Ion Track Vapor Tracer2 unit. The unit is used to check people and baggage for microscopic particles and vapors of controlled drugs and or explosives. QTY: 1 Lump Sum Item shall be received 45 days ADC FOB: Destination (vi) See paragraph (v). (vii) Place of Delivery: Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. The following provisions and/or clauses apply to this acquisition. (viii) Offerors must comply with all instructions contained in FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items. (ix) FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items (Jan 1999): (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1: Price, 2: Technical Acceptability of item offered and has the ability to provide authorized and certified repairs to GE equipment.
