Description: This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to procure one (1) with the option to procure (2) military vehicles, High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles with drive-by-wire (remote control type) technology to allow vehicle control (gas, brake, steering, etc) via electronic commands. SEE ATTACHMENT (1) FOR THE SPECIFICATIONS. This procurement will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures with an award that is Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) in accordance with FAR Part 13. FOB Destination to Dahlgren, VA shall apply. The North American industry Classification System Code is 334511 with a size standard of 750 employees. The closing date is 24 March 2011. The anticipated award date is 25 March 2011. All responsible parties may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency.
