Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN-6 VA Healthcare System is requesting information related to vendors capable of modular patient monitors for the Asheville VAMC Emergency Department. The following list describes the monitor system requirements. The monitors and associated equipment will be located in Asheville, NC. This is not a request for bids, quotes, or proposals. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses. The responses to this announcement will assist in determining the socio-economic set aside if feasible. The Veterans Administration is required by Public Law 104-9 to give first priority to SDVOSB and VOSB concerns if there should be sufficient firms available to compete under a set aside. If insufficient veteran owned and small business response is received to establish the basis for setting this action aside for other than large business participation then the action will be advertised as full and open competition, in which case, all interested parties responding shall be eligible to bid. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Vendors are requested to respond to the requirements for the monitors below and submit supporting information/documentation related to monitors that are FDA cleared for use in clinical settings. Requirements: 1.The monitors must integrate with existing GE physiological monitors already in use in departments throughout the Asheville VAMC. 2.The monitors must measure all physiological patient data including 12-Lead ECG with ACI-TIPI, full arrhythmia, multi-lead QT/QTC, multi-lead ST analysis, DINAMAP non-invasive blood pressure, Masimo SpO2, and AVOA. 3.The monitors must incorporate a touch screen interface, on-screen MUSE View capability to incorporate with the existing system, and barcode reader capability. 4.The monitors must have the capability to run on wired and wireless LANs, and must be battery operated. 5.The monitors must continuously transmit data to a central station and have the capability to view patients from any central station throughout the Asheville VAMC. Interested parties should submit with their response the following information no later than March 10, 2011 and include POC information, business size, and business SBA classification(s). All questions should be addressed to Amy.Pitts@va.gov.
